Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer

After hearing so many bloggers and gurus raving about the Too Faced Hangover Replenishing Face Primer I knew I at least needed to try it.

(As always, click on the photos for a larger view.)

I’ve tried so many different primers over the years – everything from Smashbox, to Make Up For Ever, to drugstore brands. This is one of the first primers that I truly felt made an actual difference in the way my makeup applied.

To start with, I’m impressed by the size of the bottle!

So many primers seem to resemble sample sizes. I was happy to see that my $32 would at least get me a ton of uses (as opposed to the Smashbox primer which has .32oz less, but costs $10 more). There is a pump-style bottle when you remove the cap, so you can also control how much product comes out.

I also REALLY like the consistency! It’s thick enough to stay on your fingers (again, unlike some other primers that have so many “silky” qualities that they fall right off), but it still spreads evenly on the face. The amount you see here is what I used on my ENTIRE FACE. It glides over your skin and makes it so that your foundation will fly right over any enlarged pores or imperfections. On top of that, it feels extremely hydrating – something I’ve never found in a primer! On a Good Skin Day™, you could probably just wear this primer to give your skin a healthy glow, and skip foundation entirely! I’ve even found that when I DO use foundation with this, I’m using much less than I previously was.

While I’ll only give this product a “Really Like” instead of “Love”, I would recommend it. The amount you get for the price you pay is unparalleled.

Have any of you guys tried this primer out? What is your favorite face primer?

  1. Totally gonna get that primer! You should try the Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer as well. I received a sample of it in my Birchbox a long time ago & I still have some left. You only need a tiny amount & it makes your skin look so glowy & I have noticed a difference when using it. My favorite way to use it is to mix it in with a matte foundation. Perfect combo!
