I don’t know what it was. Maybe it was the heat. Maybe it was the fact that I hit VIB status for the first time in my life. Maybe I was raging drunk. (Okay, I totally wasn’t drunk.)

Whatever it was, I bought more makeup/beauty items in the month of July than I have in a LONG ASS TIME. Yes, I buy a lot at IMATS each year, but that’s different. This was me just making grabby hands at everything that was pretty.

When I wear foundation, I wear very little. Just enough to even out my skin tone. This is the first foundation where I’ve ever finished a whole bottle, and then bought a second bottle. (Revolutionary, I know.) The coverage is buildable, light-to-medium coverage. It genuinely feels weightless on your skin.

Kat Von D Metal Crush Eyeshadow in Iggy
It has been a long time since I’ve bought a single eyeshadow. As I get older (ancient), I gravitate more towards palettes. This one literally yelled at me in the store, though. Okay, not “literally”. Stop being such a grammar perfectionist. It figuratively yelled at me. The green is so perfect, so metallic. Yes, the price is more than I like to pay for a single shadow, but I told you. It yelled at me. When makeup starts yelling at you, you listen.

Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette
I resisted this palette for what feels like an eternity. This means I went an eternity without the world’s most perfect matte palette in my life. Buttery soft, every shade is just perfect. 100% matte. The swatches you see here are with no base. I REPEAT: NO BASE. It’s just the tits.

Tarte Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette
I know I’m late to the game on this one, but it’s worth all of the hype and more. 12 perfectly matte shades in warm and cool tones. It’s just dreamy.

Aphogee 2-step treatment
Weird things you should know about this off the bat. 1. It smells like rancid garbage. 2. The protein treatment is watery. Like, REALLY watery. You think you know, but you don’t know until it’s pouring down your arm. 3. Wash your hair more than you think you need to. With all of that being said, if you have damaged or color-treated hair, this is a must-have. After one use, my hair felt stronger and tougher. Plus, it’s cheap.

Fossil SUMMER Eau de Toilette Spray
I never thought I’d find perfume-love at Fossil. This fragrance is very crisp, clean, and fresh smelling. It has a beachy undertone as well. Did I mention it’s CRISP?
